The community is approximately 300 km north-west of Ottawa. Algonquin is the main language spoken, with the majority also speaking English and some French. Timiskaming First NationTimiskaming First Nation is located at the head of Lake Temiskaming, approximately 600 km from Ottawa. English is the main language spoken with many people also speaking French and Algonquin. Wolf Lake First NationThe Wolf Lake First Nation's traditional territory is in the Dumoine River watershed and the Kipawa region. Their administration office is located in Temiscaming, Quebec, about 400 km northwest of Ottawa. English is the main language with many people also speaking Algonquin & French.
